Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! You’re all soooo sweet! My family took me out to eat at King Buffet. They let me pick, (how nice of them) But I picked the restaurant THEY wanted. If I pick what I want, I get lots of “Why didn’t you pick KB? Don’t you like KB? We wanted to take you to KB!” Because KB is THEIR favorite restaurant! It’s the least a mom can do, let the kids take her out to THEIR favorite restaurant. LOL After we ate, we went to the movie theatre and bought our tickets. Then on to Walmart. LOL I forgot to get another metal feed bowl for the animals. So we got that, and I bought the 1st season of “Everybody Loves Raymond” on DVD with the money my mother gave me. I haven’t watched any of them yet, but I did open the package and drool over 5 dvds of Raymond. LOL Then it was time to go back for the movie. We saw Racing Stripes. “Well, subdivide me and Kentucky fry me!” – said by a chicken! LOL It was a good movie, and is now on the “To Buy” list. We had cake and ice cream that night. So it was a good day. 🙂

Monday was housework and schoolwork. Nothing exciting there. Still haven’t figured out a schedule. Jennifer, if you still want to share yours you can leave it in the comment section or email it to me. Addy is over there <----- Anybody else care to share? Does anyone use a schedule where you do 1 subject a day? Your only doing that subject once a week, but do a weeks worth on that day? Yesterday was errands with my mother, again, at least this time they were in our town. Then piano. Today, joy of joys, is the day I do the weekly cleaning in my bedroom and bathroom. It’s really hard to contain my excitement over this. The only thing that tops it, is the weeklies in the kitchen tomorrow! I really don’t know how I can stand such excitement in my life! And on that exciting note, it’s time to get back to work! TTYL

Digging, Running, Schedules and 42!

February 6, 2005 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

DIGGING

Last Monday, we went to the ground breaking for our NEW public library! awesome…..it’s…incredible… *said in best Napoleon Dynamite voice* The library should be open by late summer. *CAN’T WAIT*

RUNNING

Last Tuesday, we took Granny on some errand running. Went to a couple places, she treated us to lunch out, went to a couple more places. Then on to piano! Where we now sit for an hour, because there are 3 of them taking lessons. So we were out most of the day.

SCHEDULES

Our homeschooling schedule just isn’t working, again! Well, it works when we’re home all the time. But when we’re out more than 1 day a week, it messes us up. So I’m going to try and come up with a new schedule. Anyone care to share their schedules?

42

Today’s my 42nd birthday!

No, birthdays don’t bother me. I’m thankful I’ve made it thus far, while still being relatively sane. Of course, thats a matter of opinion! LOL I think their taking me out to eat and to a movie.

Better get going! See ya!

I thought I’d share with you what I hear, No it’s not music like some people say in their blogs. I’m not even talking about listening to tv or a movie. Nooooooo, I’m talking about my imaginative, creative children.

I overheard Hannah say to Calen – “Let’s practice taking each other out”

Oh, and their not talking going out somewhere, their talking karate take downs! lol

Imagine it – Hospital worker to Mom – “Exactly how is it, MOM, that TWO of your children are here with broken necks? huh??”

And just a few minutes ago while they were eating lunch, Melissa spilled her tomato soup on her lap. (hahahahahahaha)

Calen – “Tomato soup is good if you get sprayed by a skunk”

Mel – “Well, I DIDN’T get sprayed by a skunk”

Calen – “Just pretend you did”

ROFLOL PRETEND you got sprayed by a skunk? Who would want to pretend THAT??? LOL

Just thought you might like to join me for a good laugh! lol I’m going back to work. Then feed the animals and head out for Walmart grocery shopping with 5 kids and a Granny! Oh JOY! NOT! Not really, their not that bad. They behave really well. ummmmm….except for Granny, she’s a little hard to control sometimes! ROFLOL

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been this long since I updated! I’ve just been busy with the usual, schoolwork, housework, kids, granny, animals. I have started listing some stuff on Ebay again. So I’ve spent some time doing that. Yesterday was rather exciting. We went to the library. And the told me that one of the books THEY said we still had wasn’t listed under my name anymore. I told her the name and said it should be there. She said “Oh, that came back” Sooooo I’d like to know who came in my house, got the book, and returned it! lol I think what happened was when we brought the book back, it didn’t get checked in properly, and when someone else checked it out, it then got checked back in. (how’s that for a run on sentence? lol) So now were down to one missing book. “My Worst Friend Woody” he REALLY is my Worst Friend! lol I told the kids they couldn’t get anymore books until we found the missing ones. 1 down 1 to go! I had to get some books for school yesterday, and some tax forms (OH JOY!) We also went and saw Kenn. He’s still missing us, AWWWWWWW, and actually sorta admitted it yesterday, for the first time since he moved out! That’s a big step for him, to actually sorta admit that he misses the people he tried so hard to get away from! teenagers! sigh

We had even more excitement yesterday afternoon. I don’t know if you can handle reading anymore, but here goes! lol We were out in the barnyard feeding the animals, and I noticed that Z had his good shoes on, instead of his chorein’ boots, so I sent him back in to change. When I came back to the house, I couldn’t get in, as he had locked the door!!!! And my keys were in the house! So Mel ran next door to get the key from them. We had given them one when we moved here, just in case. And since they never use it, they didn’t know for sure which key it was. LOL We got it on the second try, though, thankfully! lol So I’m going to have another key made, so when and IF this happens again, I’ll have a house key on my outdoor keychain. At least if we DID get locked out until D got home, we would have 2 places to choose from to stay! Grandma and Grandpas or Granny’s.

So that’s pretty much it. Trying to stay warm, and in control over my house. sigh Hard on both accounts. lol Back to work I go!

Mom- Then you need to spend more time doing it.

Calen- I can’t. All my RAM is taken up.

I’m behind again!

January 19, 2005 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

LOL So I’ll play catch up. Let’s see…….

Saturday, Do got up and said how about we go out to eat tonight and to the movies? By ourselves, Mel can babysit. Ok, sounds good. Melissa agreed quickly, as she’s been trying to kick me out of the house to babysit anyway. She wants the money! lol We went out to eat at Shiloh’s. It was the 1st time I’d been there. D’s been there for lunch before. So I sit down at the table and start looking around. I start on the left. Oh nice wood on the walls. Nice big windows, and more big windows on the next wall. Oh, more nice wood on the wall behind me. OH, what’s that? A large display case about as long as my couch! OH MY!! There’s a FREAKING big SNAKE in that display case 2 feet from my head! AHHHHHHH!!!! *turns head QUICKLY with horrified look on face!* I told D if I ever went back there again, I’d be sure to ask for a table NOT next to the freaking big snake! We had a nice dinner, and went to the theatre and bought our tickets, then went to Walmart (of course, where else would we go?! lol)Then back to the movies. We saw National Treasure. I let D pick the movie. I never would have picked this one. But I did like it. I don’t like action/adventure movies, but this one actually had a story line. lol On the way home, we passed out volunteer fire station, and the trucks were out. UH OH I hope it’s not our house, quick step on it! lol No I didn’t actually say all that out loud. Just thought it. lol So we were scanning the sky, and saw a red glow and lots of smoke. So we rode down the road to see what it was. It was a BIG factory on fire, Mid-South. This was at about 11:30. I don’t think the fire had been burning too long, as my mother and mil came home about 10, and Mom said she didn’t see any smoke then. The factory burned to the ground. Those of you who live in my state probably heard this on the news. The factory was about 3 miles from my house, and the biggest private employer in our county. Over 700 people (although the 3 channels that I watched are all reporting different numbers) This is MAJOR for our county. The factory did have 2 buildings, and only one burned, so they will be able to bring some people back. But only a small fraction. So many people out of work, in a county that doesn’t have that much work to start with. So sad…

On Saturday morning, D was getting out of the shower and kicked the tub (on accident lol) and broke his toe! The one next to the little toe. He broke his toe in the shower! Well, not all the kids knew about it, and on Sunday morning Abigail stepped on his foot. So he recovered from that painful experience, well, as much as one can recover with a broken toe. He went out in the afternoon to feed the animals, we were all standing in the barn, and the big doe, CeCe, stepped right on his broken toe! The poor guy! Nothing you can do for a broken toe, except convince your family and animals NOT to step on it! lol So now everyone’s trying to stay away from Dad’s toe! lol

Yesterday, Monday, we didn’t do much. Just the usual housework, schoolwork, barn chores. brrrrrr, it sure was cold out there! We didn’t stay out any longer than necessary. The kids (human) wanted to stay out, but I wouldn’t let them.

Today were supposed to have piano. First lesson back after vacation. Their teacher always tells them that it’s her vacation, not theirs, they still have to practice. lol I’m thinking about canceling, though. So cold. Mel’s had a headache for a couple of days. If she still has it, I’m going to cancel. D and his mother and my mother are all at jury duty this morning. The first time they have to report for the year. Sounds like fun. NOT! lol I asked him last night if he had any money in case he had to stay and was there for lunch. He said I have $2. lol not enough to get him lunch. I told him since our mothers were there, between the two of them, they’d take care of him. lol So that’s all that’s going on today. I do need to make banana bread though. I’ll do that this morning. So that’s it…..How bored are you now?……Hey, wake up!!!……Stop yawning and leave a comment! LOL

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
