Tonight we went to a Christmas play at an Uncles church. He attends, no pastors. He ended up not being there. lol He didn’t know we were going. But we had a nice time. The play went from Annunciation to Resurrection. I’ve never seen a Christmas play cover everything like that. It was great. Healings, throwing the money changers, etc. out of the temple, the Last Supper, the Betrayal, etc. They even had a real baby in the Nativity scene. Not a newborn. Probably around 9 months. Well, he decided he didn’t want to lay on Mary’s lap. Was crying, trying to twist out of her grip on him. Calling out “Da Da Da” It was cracking me up! lol Someone finally found his little stuffed toy and threw it to Mary. Really threw it! LOL Then Baby Jesus was happy. But the scene was just about over then. LOL I know they didn’t plan it that way. But it really helped to show that Jesus came as a human being. You know, we think of Jesus as Lord. But He came as a little baby, and I’m sure cried as a baby, too. As everyone was leaving, they gave out brown paper bags that each had a very large orange and very large apple in them. They gave a bag to everyone, so we cleaned up on fruit! LOL They also handed out fortune cookies with Bible verses in them. The kids thought they were great. Some day, when I get some extra money, (yea, right! LOL) I’ll have to try and find some to buy for them.

Yesterday was the Christmas Story Time at our library. This is the 1st year they’ve had it. We just got a Childrens Librarian a couple of months ago. She did a great job! Snacks, hot chocolate. Presents from Santa. The kids got to pick several books that the local Dollar General donated. They had a coloring contest and the winners were announced. Zachary won one of those Tic Tac Toe Toss Games. Abigal won a little am/fm radio with ear phones. She loves it! But I think she has spent more time pretending its a digital camera, and a video camera, than using it as a radio. LOL The kids didn’t have to sit on Santa’s lap to get their presents, which is good. I kept watching Zachary, waiting for him to say to Santa, “You’re NOT real!” You never know when he’s going to just blurt something out. LOL
Pics below, Of course! LOL
