“Mom, I counted all your gray hairs, and you have 2,000!” – Calen

I leave shortly to take Calen to his monthly clinic visit for bloodwork and an exam. He has been off treatment 1 year this month! The official date is December 17th. If all goes well today, he starts going to the clinic EVERY OTHER MONTH! I won’t know how to act! We just might have to turn doing CBC’s into a science experiment, cause I don’t know if I can wait 2 months!

I’ll update later!

FRIDAY

Today we went shopping. It took Melissa and I about 30 minutes to stuff D’s birthday present in the van. ATTEMPT to, anyway. We FINALLY got it, but not before we got bruises! Seriously! I have a big one on my upper arm, and Mel has a couple on her knee. I bet your curious now to know exactly what we got him, that was soooo big it wouldn’t fit in the van, and gave us bruises! Ok, Ok, I’ll post a pic!

Saturday

Today was D’s 43rd birthday! Nope, that’s not a typo! He’s now 43!

We had cake (that the kids made and decorated) and ice cream with D’s parents at 2. Then he spent some time playing with his birthday present. Ok, Ok, I’ll post a pic!

Then we picked up my Mother, Kenn and Betty Sue. We went out to eat at Subway, then walked out in front and watched the Christmas parade. Small, but decent for our size town and county. The kids got a ton of candy.

Sunday

We just hung around. D played some more with his birthday present. Ok, Ok, I’ll post a pic! I worked on some scrapbooking stuff for a swap. Then last night we took our Mother with us to a Live Nativity. It was very nice. The kids really liked it. It was the 1st the 4 youngest had been to a live Nativity. D’s parents went as well, so we all stood together. Well, FIL had a chair as he can’t stand very long. Then we came home, had hot chocolate and cookies and read our Advent story by candle light and Christmas light.

Today

I have to do laundry. Some schoolwork. We’re going to be breaking shortly for Christmas. Work some more on my swap that has to go out in the mail Friday. And make at least 100 meatballs! All that along with regular housework. sigh I have to keep the house in shape, not let it get too bad, as I’ll be gone most of the day Wednesday taking Calen for his monthly clinic visit. So I have to have everything in place for MIL and the kids to get through the day. Guess I better get busy!

This sorta sounds like me. Mel said I don’t talk THAT much.

You Are From Mercury

You are talkative, clever, and knowledgeable – and it shows.

You probably never leave home without your cell phone!

You’re witty, expressive, and aware of everything going on around you.

You love learning, playing, and taking in all of what life has to offer.

Be careful not to talk your friends’ ears off, and temper your need to know everything.

What Planet Are You From?

I saw this on a blog this morning. But of course there aren’t any for my area of KY. So I found this one from where I grew up. Except I didn’t get busted for drinking on the beach! lol

You Know You’re From Cape Cod When…

You know where Truro is

You refer to most of the world as “off Cape.”

Stuff that is open until ten is “late” and staying out until eleven is a “late night out.”

You get pulled over driving on Rt 6 in Eastham at least once a week.

You know where the Cape Cod Tunnel is.

You have to drive NORTHWEST to get to Boston.

You can see a lighthouse’s light from your house at night.

You’ve gotten busted for drinking on the Outer Beach.

You think Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket are overrated.

You hate tourists with a passion.

You understand the difference between “Upper Cape” and “Lower Cape.”

You know 4 C’s is really 13th grade.

You’ve seen a Cape League game at least 50 times.

Despite living in New England, your school never used more than 3 snow days…EVER.

You work more than 40 hours a week in the summer…when you’re 14.

You can watch the sunrise and sunset on the water in the course of 24 hours.

Your parents own a small business.

You’ve helped unstrand either dolphins or whales.

You think the most exciting things in life are over “the bridge.”

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Cape Cod.

I think it just might be working! Shocking, I know!!

Yesterday I took my mother to the dr. She got the results of her heart cath that she had done the Monday before Thanksgiving. She has 1 75% blockage, and goes in on the 22nd of December to have a stent put in. Yep, 3 days before Christmas. That’s the soonest they could schedule her for.

Today we have to go to the Library, pick up Kenn and Betty Sue and take them to the court house. They are planning on getting married there this week, and need to check on it. Yep, married! Then we have piano, then home to crash. sigh.

I’m STILL not feeling well. My sinus’s are still draining, and my throat still feels raw. sigh. Everyone else is over it. sigh.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
