Our Homeschool Week in Review

January 6, 2012 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We’ve had a good homeschool week. Even though some of us are still getting over a cold, we were able to stay on track and get our work done.

I’ve been using REAL Homeschool Spanish with Zach, 11, and Abby, 13.  I received it as part of The Old Schoolhouse Homeschool Crew. We are all loving it. If your looking for a spanish curriculum for the whole family, check out my review.

Today in their home ec studies, the girls made Strawberry Fruit Bars from the Vintage Remedies for Girls book.

They did a great job. They family loved them. I can’t eat them, but they look awesome.

I didn’t know there WAS such a thing as strawberry bars! If your kids want to make another batch and mail them to me, you know as a service project, I wouldn’t object. bahah ha ha.

Random comment—I see you read the bible in 90 days. That is awesome! A lot of people at our church are doing that right now. I didn’t feel able to commit, but I am reading through the New Testament. I’m in Matthew 18 so far. It’s obviously quite a bit slower pace than my church family is going but I’m just making an effort to be reading the Bible more regularly, and I think that is good. Even if I read slow. 🙂 But the 90 day thing, good for you! That is really an accomplishment.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
