Our Homeschool Week in Review

February 24, 2012 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy 1 Comment

Our first week back from Sabbath Week has been a good one!

The kids all got new books. And one got a new computer program to try. I can’t tell you what they are yet, as they are for The Homeschool Crew. I posted a review this week of something we tried recently. Who am I? by Apologia.

After getting 3-4 inches of snow on Sunday, we had several nice days this week. In the 50’s and 60’s. You’ve got to love Kentucky weather! lol So the kids spent quite a bit of time outside going for long walks, playing basketball and volleyball. The kids took lots and lots of snow pictures, but I couldn’t decide which ones to post! They had so many good ones.

Here’s one of my sons and my nephew walking in the snow. That’s our driveway to the right of the boys.

The girls somehow managed to get the volleyball stuck in a tree. lol As you can tell, this was after the snow melted and the temps went up to t-shirt weather.

In Home Ec, Hannah made 9 dozen Lofthouse Cookies (that’s what she said they were called, anyway lol), 2 dozen banana muffins and 2 loaves of banana bread. She put 2 dozen cookies, 1 dozen muffins and one bread in the freezer. Her siblings and father took care of the rest. lol

I need to start thinking about what to do with my 2 year old as far as starting her education. How soon did you start with yours and what did you do?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
