Our Homeschool Week in Review

March 2, 2012 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Another busy homeschool week here. 🙂  Punctuated by thunderstorms and tornado warnings. Kentucky is having another round of severe weather today. We had thunderstorms this morning. Right now the sun is shining, but there are more storms on the way. Including tornado warnings all over the state. Our church even cancelled family movie night tonight because of the severe weather.

On the good days this week, I put the kids to work outside. We made a lot of progress on the spring work list.

Bible Drill competition starts up on the 18th of this month. some of the kids have been working hard to get ready. The others really have to put their nose to the grindstone, so to speak, in order to be ready. The 10th – 12th grade level of Bible Drill has the kids memorizing whole passages of the Bible. They also have to be able to identify individual verses within the passages. Tough stuff!

Zach had fun recently testing Reading Eggs for the Homeschool Crew. It’s an online reading curriculum. Full of learning, games and other fun. My review of Reading Eggs is up, so stop by and check it out.

I checked the camera for pictures to share, and found I only took one picture this week. And that was about an hour ago.lol

Hannah has become quite the bread baker. She’s baking Challah bread today, and I got a picture of her braiding the dough.

We had a good homeschooling week this week. We’re looking forward to another great week next week. Hopefully without the severe weather!

She is an excellent bread-braider! It looks delicious. Maybe for this week’s lessons you could study geography by mapping my address and mailing me some. Just a suggestion….. ha ha!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
