My kitchen highlight last week was homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast Christmas morning!
In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu
It’s a family tradition to have homemade cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning breakfast. Of course, I have no desire to get up at o’dawn thirty to make them. so I make the dough the night before. This time, I made a double batch. um….I think my mixing bowl was too small!
After rolling and slicing, I place them in the greased pan that I would be baking them in. I loosely covered with plastic wrap and put in the fridge until morning.
I took them out of the fridge and allowed them to sit for about 30 minutes, then baked as usual. See all that fluffy, cinnamon goodness? Oh man, now I want more! lol
I served a scaled back Christmas dinner this year. No one complained! No one missed anything! They were all happy. And full! lol
Dinner started the night before, when I put the partially frozen turkey, stuffing less, in the oven at 250*, covered with foil. This is how it looked at 9 on Christmas morning. The legs were falling off the bird! It was so tender and moist!
I only made one pie! A chocolate. I still owe my husband a pumpkin pie!
Now…. to answer the question that I get asked about a hundred times a day……….What’s For Dinner?
