Meet Sarah: Sarah Sundin is the author of “With Every Letter” and the Wings of Glory series. In 2011, A “Memory Between Us” was a finalist in the Inspirational Reader’s Choice Awards, and Sarah received the Writer of the Year Award at the Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference. A graduate of UC San Francisco School of Pharmacy, she works on call as a hospital pharmacist. During WWII, her grandfather served as a pharmacist’s mate (medic) in the Navy and her great-uncle flew with the US Eighth Air Force in England. Sarah lives in California with her husband and three children.

My On Distant Shores Review

On Distant Shores is book Two in the Wings of the Nightingale series. You can read my review of Book One, With Every Letter. On Distant Shores picks up where With Every Letter ended. Set in 1943, you follow the characters during the war. Through airfield & hospital scenes, happy recreational times, and broken hearts, and new love, you will be drawn into the lives of the characters.

If you haven’t read Book One yet, you will still be able to pick up Book Two and follow it. Having read Book One will help you understand the characters better, though.

On Distant Shores is a great read. If you love Christian historical fiction, you’ll love this book.
