We are still plugging away at our school year. We will keep going until the end of June. June 27th to be exact. We have plenty of work to finish before then, and plenty of fun things to do.
Hopefully, lots of good movies come out in the next couple of months. It’s so fun to go to the movies with our homeschool group. We get a group rate at the movie theater, and we get the theater to ourselves. We pay $3 a person, and that includes a small drink and small popcorn! We went a couple of weeks ago to see God’s Not Dead. My husband took a long lunch and met us at the movie theater. 5 of us went and it was only $15 dollars. Such a deal!
When Abby isn’t in her room doing her school work, she is in the living room spreading all her books out all over the couch. Of course, when I show up with the camera, she pulls her book up in front of her face. Well, at least you can see what she is working on. Abeka World Literature.
Abby and Calen, who graduated in 2013, play and sing in a youth band at church. They recently played at a fundraiser for a local ministry. My husband was able to snap a few pictures of them. Here’s Abby singing. Or rather, standing there in between singing judging by the way she is holding the microphone. lol
Calen plays electric guitar in the band. And does a fantastic job! He uses all kinds of foot pedals to change the way the guitar sounds. He has even made a few pedals himself!
The other day, I had a new kitchen kettle delivered. Well, that’s it’s official name. It’s like an electric sauce pot. Zach was nice enough to grab the box away from me and open it. When he found out the feet and handles had to be put on, he ran for a screwdriver. He did a great job, and they haven’t fallen off yet. lol
We attended my niece’s wedding last Saturday. I shared more about the wedding and some pictures at My Niece’s Wedding. There’s even a picture of me! GASP! lol
I recently posted a review of Victus Study Skills System. If you missed it, you should stop by and check it out. We really liked it. And it’s not just for homeschoolers!
Did you catch my post on Teaching Teenagers Time Management? My teenagers are still a work in progress, but I shared a few things that I do with them that help.
Are you getting ready for Easter? Check out my Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt for Teenagers. Your teenagers won’t say they are too old for egg hunts anymore! If your reading this after Easter, click over to save it for next year!
And that’s our homeschool week in review!
