The kids love spending time with the kittens. We currently have 4 little ones. Holding a kitten while doing school work has become a favorite thing to do.
I walked through the school room the other day, and found this little kitten sitting on the chair while Abby was working on the computer.
The next time I walked through the school room, the kitten was on the computer. I guess kittens like geometry, too. This is Khan Academy geometry, by the way.
Abby is the one doing geometry. Zach just started using Khan Academy for math this week. so far he likes it, and is doing well. I like that that there is a placement test so I don’t have to guess where to start him at. I also like that there is a button on the screen that the student can click that says, “I haven’t learned that yet”. It keeps him from guessing or struggling over problems.
Abby finished her Family Living and Managing Your Life Under God books this week. She also finished American Government & Economics, and the first of two books in Abeka World Literature. She wants to graduate early, and is speeding right along towards that goal.
Saturday, we attended my annual family reunion. There were lots of relatives in attendance this year that I haven’t seen in years. The kids sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the relatives wanting hugs. lol Overall, though, it was a great family day.
This week will be busy. Zach is attending an archery day camp. He’s really looking forward to it. Abby should be able to make great progress with all the quiet. lol
