Our Homeschool Room & Bless a Homeschooler Giveaway!

August 18, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I decided it’s time to share pictures of our homeschool room. See pictures below, and enter a great Bless a Homeschooler Giveaway!

Our Homeschool Room

Our Homeschool Room

Our homeschoolroom has changed over the years. Since my remaining two students are teenagers, that is reflected in how our homeschool room looks. Gone are all the learning toys and manipulatives.

For this first picture, I’m standing in the middle of our dining room looking into the schoolroom. The big, open doorway is nice. Some days, though, being able to shut the school room door would be nice!

Over on the right, we have the computers on the still needing paint desk that my 19 year old made for me. (ignore the tv that is under the desk for temporary storage) The roll top desk at the end has my 10th grade daughter’s books inside. The shelf above the desk holds all manner of electronic equipment and supplies.

Zach, 8th grade, was kind enough to look up from the computer for this picture. He couldn’t figure out why I was taking pictures. lol

I recently rearrange a few things in the school room, and I’m pleased with the two chairs under the window on the left side of the room. It’s the next best thing to having a window seat. Zach’s books are on top of the library card catalog.

Feel free to ignore the messy books shelves and the stack of books on the table waiting to be sold. I’ve been going through the bookshelves, and pulling books off, but not straightening the books that are left. This is a real life, lived in, and well used schoolroom. Therefore, some days, it’s just plain messy!

When my last student graduates, this room will become my library and office.

Well, since I am doing the single mamma thing , due to my husbands mental illness stemming from a brain trauma and his not being well enough to live with us. It would really bless me alot and help us to get sets of books for mulitiple grades, so that I don’t need to buy more books later on as the kids get older. I have 3 at home still Daniel 6, Hope 11 in Oct and Faith 12. I also start school myself on the 25th of this month of August and this will be a hard thing even if online. I am also caring for 3 grandchildren right now as my daughter works and tries to get her life under control. We would be very blessed to win this wonderful giveaway.

This would help me get more learning materials and supplies. Our income is limited these days and would love to get more items to benefit my children s learning.

This is my first year homeschooling my son so winning will help me get the things he needs for this to be successful. If this year is unsuccessful then he will go back to public school next year. My son will be in fifth grade this year and has been picked on every year since pre-k. I’m tired of it. It’s heartbreaking. Plus he has a genetic disorder that as a child gets older they start to have learning disabilities. Right now they’re minor but no one can say if or how bad it can get.

Right now, our family is pretty strapped in the financial department. I keep having to push back purchasing a lot of our school supplies until we can afford to spend the extra money. This is our first year homeschooling, and my daughter (4) and I have been looking forward to this year for a long time. Any help is a blessing at this point, and I think you are doing a great thing with this giveaway! 🙂

$500 in paypal cash would be a real blessing to our family since I’ve been unable to purchase some of the curriculum we need for school this year. Our daughter was honored to be invited to take college level piano classes at our local community college, but the commute is already taking it’s tole on our budget!

We use a mixture of Connections Academy and other online resources. We love it.

This would help us literally survive. We are fighting for every penny we make right now. The Lord is giving us what we need, but I literally feel like I’m hanging onto that faith with all of my might right now.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
