In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

January 12, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Last week was a bust in the kitchen. Several of the kids were sick, and I caught it, too. Thankfully, really, thankfully, it was “only” a bad cold. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want any of us to be sick with a cold, but it is much better to be sick with that, thatn with the flu that is going around. Definitely don’t want the flu!

So the most I did in the kitchen was make the kids juice, and broth with noodles. I’m so glad I had some home canned turkey broth on hand!

The Mini Turkey Pot Pies never happened last week, so they are on the menu again this week.

I’m using frozen foods again tonight. I don’t feel guilty at all, since I’ve been sick. And taking care of the kids while they were sick. Even though they are teenagers, they still like lots of attention from Mom.

Cornbread is on the menu this week. This is the cornbread recipe I use. We love it!

Now…. to answer the question that I get asked about a hundred times a day……….What’s For Dinner?

Saturday – Sabbath- Make ahead meals- Venison in the slowcooker with, rice, green beans

Sunday – soup & sandwich day – Husband cooked- breakfast for lunch, kielbasa, onions, & peppers, and noodles for supper

Monday – chicken – Fish filets, popcorn chicken, tater tots

Tuesday – pizza/pasta – Turkey and rice in the slowcooker

Wednesday – beef – Homemade Chili from the freezer, homemade corn bread

Thursday – chicken – Mini Turkey Pot Pies

Friday – beef – Venison, potatoes and carrots in the slow cooker

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
