My progress has been pretty non existent for the last couple of weeks. I worked so hard, it took me a couple of weeks to recover. It’s pretty frustrating to feel so bad, and so weak, and so tired, that I really can’t do anything. The only reason I get anything done is pure determination. I will make sure my family has food to eat, and they get to the places they need to go to. Even if I can’t drive, I ride along while one of the kids drives. The ones that have their permits or license! lol
Getting Healthy with Linda
My stop count has been horrible the last couple of weeks. I have been letting my Vivofit set my step goal, and trying to reach it every day. Having the red activity bar on it reminds me to get up and get some steps in. These two things have helped me to slowing increase my steps over the last week. I still am not where I want to be, though.
Here are my steps for the last week:
Saturday 7896 goal met
Sunday 4543
Monday 4517 goal met
Tuesday 5914 goal met
Wednesday 5719 goal met
Thursday 6899 goal met
Friday 4666
Not where I want to be with my step count, but I did met the goal that the VivoFit set for me 5 days out of 7. I’m going to count that as progress.
I finally made it to my doctor last week! He started me on thyroid medicine. This was based on my lab results. I tried to go without the medicine, by trying a few vitamins and supplements, but they didn’t help change the lab results. My vitamin D is still really low. Despite taking supplements. So he told me to spend more time in the sun. lol I told him that was really hard when you have a heat intolerance and get sick from being in the sun. He just smiled and said go sit in the sun. So I will start tomorrow morning sitting in the sun for at least 15 minutes. I will try to do it in the morning before it gets too hot. Hopefully, I will see some progress from these two changes. I am so tired of not feeling well!
My goals for this week were:
increase my steps – no
enter my food into MyFitness Pal – no
take my vitamins and supplements every day – YES!
get to my doctor to discuss lab results – DONE – finally!!
My goals for this coming week are:
increase my steps –
enter my food into MyFitness Pal –
take my meds, vitamins and supplements every day –
get at least 15 minutes of sun for 5 days –
