Under Drake’s Flag Audio CD Review
As part of the the Schoolhouse Review Crew, I recently received the audio CD Under Drake’s Flag from Heirloom Audio Productions to review. This 2 CD set sells for $29.95, and is adapted from the book, Under Drake’s Flag, by G.A. Henty. Under Drake’s Flag was recorded in London, England with a cast of British actors. You can listen to a 60 second audio summary of the story on the Heirloom Audio Productions website.
UberSmart Math Facts Review
I recently received UberSmart Math Facts, $24.95, from UberSmart Software to review. UberSmart Math Facts is downloadable software for mastering math facts. UberSmart Math Facts can be used with all ages. From at least Kindergarten all the way up to high school, it can even be used by the adult learner. UberSmart Math Facts was developed by a homeschool dad, who is a computer programmer, to use with his own children.

Roman Roads Media – Old Western Culture: The Greeks Review
I recently received Old Western Culture: The Greeks from Roman Roads Media to Review. This full year course is available in two different formats. The online streaming version, a full year of access, is available for $199. There are four DVD sets, each set has 4 DVDs, available for $224. Each unit’s DVD set is also available for purchase separately for $56. Whatever version you choose, you are able to print the needed student workbook. The four Student Workbooks is also available for purchase for $48. Whether you choose to print your own, or purchase them, the student workbooks are a requirement. You can not do the course without them. I received online access for Old Western Culture: The Greeks. I also received one of the DVD sets, The Epics, so I could compare them to the online version for this review.
Hewitt Homeschooling Lightning Literature & Composition- American Christian Review
I recently received Lightning Literature and Composition: American Christian Student’s Guide, $29.95, and the Lightning Literature and Composition: American Christian Teacher’s Guide, $2.95, from Hewitt Homeschooling to review. I also received the book No Graven Image, $14.99, to use with the student guide. The Teachers Guide comes already 3 hole punched, ready to insert in a binder.
Hewitt Homeschooling has courses for many different subjects for elementary, middle school, and high school. I have used one of their courses in the past. You can read my review of Lightning Literature and Composition for 8th Grade.
