I recently received the Language Arts Package – The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn – Online, $22.88, and the Science Package – Health and Nutrition, $46.89, from Moving Beyond the Page to review. All of their curriculum is available in either books or online. The units will take approximately 3 weeks to complete if used as the primary curriculum. If you are using the units as a supplement, they can be spread out over a semester.
I recently received the books Starting a Micro Business, Running a Micro Business, and Micro Business for Teens Workbook from Micro Business for Teens to review. The Micro Business for Teens books are written by Carol Topp, an accountant. These books are intended for ages 10-18.
I recently received a copy of the book The Wise Woman with Literary Analysis Journal Questions to review. The Wise Woman was written by George MacDonald. For this version, Stacey Farrell has added literary analysis questions to each chapter.
The Wise Woman with Literary Analysis Journal Questions is available from Home School Adventure Company. The ebook download, like I received, sells for $14.95, and the 160 page print edition sells for $28.95. You can view sample pages on the website.
As part of the Schoolhouse Review Crew, I received the Victus Study Skills System to review. The Victus Study Skills System consists of two books, a Student Workbook, $20, and the Teacher Edition, $40. You can view the Table of Contents and sample pages on the website.
As part of the Schoolhouse Review Crew, I received online access to Mango Languages to review. I used the Mango Homeschool Edition, with my 7th grade son. The Mango Homeschool Edition we used is the beta version. The final version will have more features that I didn’t have access to during the review period.
As part of The Schoolhouse Review Crew, I received Glow in the Dark Egglo Eggs and the book The Egg-cellent Easter Adventure from Egglo Entertainment to review. I also received an audio download of the book, Egglo Treasures Scripture Scrolls, and a PDF of The Egg-cellent Easter Adventure Program Guide . These products are ideal for ages 4-13, but can be adapted to work with any age.
I recently received a paperback copy of Simply Put: A Study in Economics by to review in our homeschool.
Simply Put: A Study in Economics is written by Catherine Jaime, who has written several books and booklets on American history and economics. She also is a fellow homeschool mom. Since this book is written for high school students, I am using it with my 15 year old, 9th grade daughter.
