Store bought BBQ sauce is full of high fructose corn syrup so I wanted to make my own to avoid it. Really, all store bought condiments are mostly HFCS nowadays. Unless you pay a very high price for HFCS free condiments at health food stores, it’s hard to avoid. I’ve been experimenting with making my own BBQ sauce. I’m moving to salad dressings next. If you like a less sweet bbq sauce, you can cut down on the brown sugar.
Homemade BBQ Sauce
Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer to 30 minutes to 1 hour.
