Finally! Some signs of spring here in Kentucky! We have had such a cold, wet, snowy winter that I was beginning to wonder if spring would ever get here!
The Daffodils are up!
The big news here in Kentucky is that it is cold and snowy. Again…. Still…. Whatever.
I took this picture at the beginning of the week. That’s not snow on the porch. No, snow would be too easy. That would be sleet and/or freezing rain stacked up. ugh.
We have had so much snow in Kentucky this year! We still had snow on the ground from Monday, when we got more snow overnight and this morning.
My husband braved the cold to take a couple of pictures. This is looking down our road this morning while it was still snowing. Our driveway is just out of the bottom right corner of the picture.

It’s January. That means it’s time to start planning the vegetable gardens. And the flower gardens. Ok, you may think I’m jumping the gun since we’ve had snow, and have another snow storm coming tomorrow. Now is the time to start the planning, though.
We had an ice storm overnight. Not fun, but at least we didn’t lose electric My husband braved the cold and the ice to take a few pictures. Because I don’t plan on setting foot outside the door! lol
Fall has completely left, and winter has arrived here at my house. And winter is cold! The temperature has been in the single digits quite a few mornings. And that’s much too cold for these old bones. lol
We had our first snow fall, which quickly melted. I did manage to take a couple of pictures before it did melt.
It’s the first Saturday of the month (lol except I’m not posting this on Saturday ! lol), so it’s time for The View from My Front Porch. It’s definitely a fall view!
The Butterfly Bush by the stack of white flower pots is practically bare. The Hardy Hibiscus to the left of that, is bare, just the branches sticking out of the ground. The only bright spot in the yard is the Burning Bush by the corner of the house.
