I do believe that I am out of the habit of taking food pictures. Last week, I made a big pan of brownies, my daughter made two loaves of banana bread, and I worked on a recipe for breakfast cookies.
In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu
I’m still working on the recipe for breakfast cookies. They were good, but not exactly what I wanted, so I will tweak the recipe again before I share it with you. My son asked one morning what was for breakfast, and I told him breakfast cookies. He looked them over carefully, saw a chocolate chip, and was very excited. After taking a bite, he said these aren’t chocolate chip cookies! I said you didn’t think I was going to give you regular chocolate chip cookies for breakfast, did you? He did. lol
We did get take out pizza on Saturday because it was a family yard work day. No one felt like cooking. But I cooked every other night!
Now…. to answer the question that I get asked about a hundred times a day……….What’s For Dinner?
In the Kitchen with Linda – Dinner Menu for 7:
Saturday – Sabbath- Make ahead meals- Take out pizza
Sunday – soup & sandwich day – Smoked sausage with onions & peppers, fried cabbage, alfredo noodles
Monday – chicken – Oven baked fish with homemade tarter sauce, baked potatoes, corn on the cob
Tuesday – pizza/pasta – homemade pizza
Wednesday – beef – Tacos with all the fixings
Thursday – chicken – Chickens, potatoes, onions, and carrots in the slow cooker
Friday – beef – Cookout – My daughters 16th birthday “get together” – menu to be determined, but will most likely include hot dogs, potato salad, cupcakes, s’mores. Because the weather looks like it is going to be chilly that night, we will also have hot chocolate
