Getting Healthy with Linda

April 17, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I have been on a mission to get healthier for a while now. My latest blood tests have shown some concerning numbers. So I have to get serious about getting healthy. Before I am seriously unhealthy.

In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

April 13, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We had the first cookout of the year on Saturday! We cook over a fire in the fire pit that my husband made with rocks found on our property.

We really enjoy sitting around the fire as a family. So fun, and sooooo relaxing!

Our Homeschool Week in Review

April 10, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Since it appears that I haven’t down a week in review post in months, I guess I should call this update Our Homeschool MONTHS in Review. Most of the time I feel that what we do each week isn’t exciting enough to post about.  I only have two left in school, one in high school, and one finishing up 8th grade. They mostly just do book work. I can only post so many pictures of them sitting with books. lol

Now if I was posting about my struggle of getting my 14 year old to stop playing video games and actually do his work, I would have plenty to say. sigh….

Homemade Eye Glass Cleaner

April 9, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

There are four of us here that wear glasses. Since I love to make homemade cleaners, and eye glass cleaner can be expensive, I decided to make my own eye glass cleaner. Homemade eye glass cleaner can be made cheaply and easily. And it works great, too!

Family Movie Night with Night at the Museum

April 6, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I recently received this Night at the Museum movie pack from VocalPoint so I could watch it with my family for family movie night. My family loves to watch movies together, and we have seen (and own) the previous two movies in the NATM series.

So I popped the popcorn, filled the bags, and settled down with my family to watch Night at the Museum Secret of the Tomb.

In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

April 6, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I made oven Roasted Chicken and Vegetables last week. I’ve made variations of it before, and it always comes out good. The family loved it, and ate it all!

Roasted Chicken and vegetables

While I was outside working on garden stuff, my 28 year old son decided to make chocolate chip cookies. He found the recipe we use, with the ingredients on the front of the card, and the directions on the back. Except he didn’t know the directions were on the back. lol So he assembled the ingredients in his own interesting way. lol I walked in to find him using a potato masher to mix everything together. He put the dry ingredients in the bowl first, then added the shortening and butter, and was using the potato masher to mix it all together! lol

Surprisingly, they were edible. lol

The End of a Mother and Son Era

April 2, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Ever since my youngest was 2 or 3, we’ve been putting this pink duck in the flower garden. Every spring we find it in the garden and set it on the rocks. Over the course of the summer, the animals would knock it back in the garden so we can dig it out again the next spring.

You can see the little pink duck sitting on the rocks in this picture from March of 2013.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
