Last Thursday, my oldest son cooked supper for us. He made tacos with all the fixings, including beans and rice. He did a good job, even if he makes a big mess in the kitchen.
He also had a little trouble in the kitchen….
At one point, he turned on the wrong burner. Where a taco seasoning packet happened to be sitting. Then, he forgot that that burner was hot and sat my large Tupperware measuring cup on it. See?
The circle in the picture? That would be the bottom of the measuring cup. 🙁 Accidents happen in the kitchen. I’ve had a few of my own. So I’m not mad at him. I can’t help feeling sad, though. I’ve had this measuring cup since he was around 2 or 3. He’s going to be 29 this year! That measuring cup was part of the family. lol I guess I’m now in the market for a large, 8 cup measuring cup.
Tonight, we had Turkey Alfredo for supper. Yum! This was the last of the Christmas turkey. I had a couple more turkeys in the freezer from sales last November, so I’ll be cooking another one this week. And start the turkey cycle over again. lol
As I’m typing this, my daughter has 3 loaves of banana bread in the oven. It smells so good! I wonder how many will be left after snack time tonight? lol
