Our Homeschool Week in Review

March 22, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Abby has been doing good this week with all her new classes. She’s very excited to be in 10th grade now. She prefers to do her school work all over the house. I walked into the school room the other day, and this is what I found….

Our Homeschool Week in Review

March 15, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I can’t believe it’s been a month since  I posted Our Homeschool Week in Review! Wow! We have been busy, though.

After many, many practices, many games, and a three day tournament, Abby’s homeschool volleyball team came in 3rd in their division at the State Tournament. They play in a Christian school league, so they play other homeschool teams, as well as Christian schools. So proud of all the girls for their hard work over the very long volleyball season.

Our Homeschool Week in Review

February 14, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We’ve had a busy week! We did manage to get a couple of full days of school in, though.

On Monday, Abby had a volleyball game 2 hours away from home. She rode with her coach and his daughter, so I only had to drop her off at his house about 5 minutes away. Unfortunately, they lost the game.

Tuesday, we did a full day of school. And Calen got his drivers permit! He drove me a couple of times this week. And I’m still alive! lol

Our Homeschool Week in Review

January 31, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

This weeks big news is the the weather got up into the upper 30’s a couple of days this week. That means that Abby & Zach were able to get outside for a couple of walks. PE!
Abby finished her history book this week. She was in Bob Jones University (Affiliate Link) American Republic. Needless to say, she is very happy to be finished with another book.

Our Homeschool Week in Review

January 25, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

It’s been so cold here! Even though the temp inside is staying steady, the temp outside keeps dropping. And that makes us all want to wrap up in blankets and just sit around. Either on the computer or watching movies.

Abby & Zach sure don’t want to get out of bed in the mornings, either. lol Can’t say as I blame them. We do need to get some schoolwork done, though. Instead of them getting most of their work done in the morning, they are now doing most of it in the afternoon.  Even though it’s not my preferred schedule, they are getting work done. That’s all that really matters.

Our Homeschool Week in Review

January 10, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We started out this week with a winter storm, with record breaking low temps. Like below zero temps. so, one would think that housebound children would be more apt to get more schoolwork done. haha Not my kids. Any thing is a reason to have a party. And that includes the weather. lol

Oh, they did do their schoolwork, just not anything extra, and not much extra reading. Cold weather is best handled by sitting on the couch, bundled under blankets watching movies. Eating cookies and drinking hot chocolate.

Our Homeschool Week in Review

January 3, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Since I last shared a week in review on December 6th, this will be more like a month in review. What can I say, it’s been really busy here.

The kids, and Dad, went to a concert at the beginning of December. The kids really enjoy these, and they make a nice once a year treat. Although, this was their 2nd concert for 2013. I forget who they saw, but it was about 6 different contemporary Christian artists. They had a blast!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
