In addition to reading the above books, this week I continued a Read the Bible in 90 days program. So that’s keeping me busy reading, also.
Tuesday Tag Along
Bible in 90 Days
We are one week into reading Bible in 90 days. I have finished today’s reading, so I am right on schedule! I have been finishing chapters, though, instead of stopping in the middle. So, I guess, I’m a few verses ahead of schedule. lol
I am finding it a little challenging, but I’m enjoying it. The hardest part is trying to read uninterrupted. I’m going to have to work on everyone so they know that if I have my Bible, don’t interrupt unless it’s an emergency. I usually do my Bible reading in my bedroom, but since these readings are long, I’ve been sitting in the living room, where it’s more comfortable. So everyone thinks I’m available.
I did try one day to break the reading up, do a little at a time. That just didn’t work for me. I prefer to read it in one sitting.
I found this blog the other day, with a Top 10 Bible in 90 Days Tip List
One of the suggestions was to give your self a reward at the end for completing the Bible in 90 Days.
So, I’m going to do that. You see, I’ve been wanting this bracelet for quite some time. I just could not justify spending $25 on a bracelet, though. When I finish reading the Bible in 90 Days, I will buy myself this bracelet. Here it is in white:

They used to have it in black, but I don’t see it on the site now. I have no color preference, really, I just like the promises.
So, that’s my Read the Bible in 90 Days Week One update.
How’d you do?
Crock Pot Cheeseburgers
This is an excellent recipe for those busy days.
Crock Pot Cheeseburgers
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
8 ox. Velvetta, diced (2 c.)
1 medium green bell pepper, diced (1 c.)
1 small onion, diced (1/4 c.)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
8 buns
Cook beef, garlic and peppers until brown; drain. Mix beef and remaining ingredients, except buns, in a 3.5 to 4 quart cooker. Cover and cook on LOW heat 6 to 7 hours. Serve on buns.
These are so good. Everyone loves them, children and adults. They are like a sloppy joe, only with cheese.
This recipe is especially easy, if you have the meat already cooked in the freezer. In that case, if you were using fresh peppers and onions, you wouldn’t have to cook them before hand, they will cook in the crock pot.
What’s For Dinner?
Last week was a good week, I stuck to the menu! lol Looking forward to another easy week this week.! I thought I might have been a little crazy roasting a turkey when it was in the 90’s outside. I really like having the cooked meat, though. It makes for easier meals this week. Hopefully, I’ll have a couple of meals from it for next week, too. If I can keep the guys away from it, that is! lol
Now for this weeks menu:
Saturday – beef – pizza that hubby brought home
Sunday – sandwich day – burritos for lunch, spaghetti & corn on the cob- hubby cooked
Monday – chicken – Turkey, potatoes, salad
Tuesday – beef – Roast in the crockpot with veggies
Wednesday – super simple – leftovers, salad
Thursday – chicken – cook out at married daughters house
Friday – Friday Night Fire – Hot dogs, macaroni salad or potato salad, carrot sticks

Where Will My Help Come From?
I will raise my eyes toward the mountains,
where will my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip;
your protector will not slumber.
Indeed, the protector of Israel
does not slumber or sleep
The Lord protects you;
the Lord is a shelter right by your side
The sun will not strike you by day,
or the moon by night.
The Lord will protect you from all harm;
He will protect your life.
The Lord will protect your coming and going both now and forever.
Psalm 121 HSCB
I truly love this Psalm. I love everything about it. The Maker of heaven and earth cares so much about me that He’s not even going to let my foot slip!
He is always there, protecting me in everything that that I do, and everywhere that I go. He is there protecting my life and everything about it.
I pray that He will use me and my life according to His will.
Saturday on the Farm
Another hot week in Kentucky. Temps in the upper 90’s and a heat index above 100 a couple of days. We had heat advisories this week. I had 2 kids at horse camp this week.Thankfully their instructor watched them carefully and kept them hydrated.
I remembered to take pictures of the tomatoes before we ate them.
We also had ALL the goats escape this week. Here they are in the field where they are not supposed to be.
He’s chained up outside the fence and barn. Someone would have to get through him to open the gate. AND the goats have to get by him to get out of the gate. He didn’t bark and let anyone know the goats were getting out. My son was in the driveway so he would have heard it. I had a nice little chat with the dog, Shadow, about letting the goats out and not telling anyone they were out. Do you see his tongue sticking out? I think he was giving me a raspberry!
Interesting week with the animals, to say the least! lol
I put the flower pictures in another post. It works better to split the pictures up, instead of one super long post.
Ok, it’s time for the Saturday on the Farm Carnival!
To participate, just write a post about your homestead, farm, farmette, or the tomato plant on your deck. Your cows, goats, chicken, or your favorite kitty cat.
In your post, include a link back to me. Then enter your link below.
It’s that easy! Hope to see your link below!
